They are widely used in a variety of electronic circuits for various purposes, including filtering, voltage regulation, resonance, tuning, and bypassing. Working PrincipleIn a LQR2V272MSEFBN aluminum electrolytic capacitor, two aluminum electroplates are separated from each other by a layer of porous, chemically treated paper that is soaked in an electrolyte. One of the aluminum plates is usually stamped or etched with a positive symbol to indicate that it is the positive electrode of the capacitor, known as the anode. The other aluminum plate is stamped or etched with a negative symbol and serves as the negative electrode, known as the cathode.
