The LT3957IUHE#TRPBF is an integrated switch-mode DC/DC converter with controller, power switches and gate drivers, protection circuitry and output filter, specifically designed for high-current buck applications. The device offers adjustable buck converters for input voltages from 4V to 28V, delivering up to 60A peak current in a very small 4mm x 4mm QFN package. It is a high-performance synchronous step-down regulator that is featured with a high bandwidth, low noise circuit and its required components are minimized.

The Working Principle of LT3957IUHE#TRPBF

The LT3957IUHE#TRPBF converter works on buck-boost mode, where the energy is captured from the input supply to activate the power switches accompanied in the circuit, generating the output voltage and allowing the output current to flow. The converter is integrated with a pulse width modulation (PWM) charge pump which enables the GATE drive voltage to step up the voltage to allow the power MOSFETs to turn on and off at high rate, while reducing the input current ripple.

The LT3957IUHE#TRPBF is provides adjustable frequency, current mode control and switching frequency synchronization. The current sense input pin(CS) is not mandatory in idle and can be applied to low current measurement and high voltage applications, the device will operate in a Fixed Frequency mode. The SE/SHDN pins can be used to shut down the device without the need to disconnect the current path by a mechanical switch. After the enable pin being asserted then the device will restart.
