The MAX15068ATP+ is a complete Hot Swap controller, with a wide range of applications. It features a highly efficient power management and thermal control, making it ideal for use in extreme environments where safety and performance are vital.
The MAX15068ATP+ provides protection against overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, short-circuit, over temperature and ESD. It has integrated logic-level translation circuitry and a programmable current limit offering a high degree of reliability.
The device is supplied in a 20-pin TSSOP package with an on-chip clock oscillator. The clock speed can be programmed via the SPI interface, allowing a smooth transition between system functions. Additionally, the device can be used in high-efficiency applications, due to its adaptive power-saving mode.
The MAX15068ATP+ has a built-in trickle charger for keeping Li-Ion and NiMH batteries charged. This charger features an integrated low-side switch and current limit that can be adjusted from 1 mA to 150 mA. The MAX15068ATP+\'s hot swap controller has an active time-delay circuit for controlling EOS (often referred to as Auto-On).
