The MAX16021LTER+T Integrated Circuit (IC) from Maxim Integrated is a general-purpose, ultra-low-power Supervisory Circuit geared towards embedded applications. It contains a voltage supervisor, logic-level reset, watchdog timer (WDT) and a power-on reset (POR) circuit which can reset a microprocessor or DSP upon a fault or error condition.

The MAX16021LTER+T IC provides protection against high-energy transient events by clamping the voltages at the WDI, RESET, and VCC inputs to the appropriate power supply levels. Any signal held at a logic low for more than a period of 1.5 ns will cause the corresponding input to be discharged to GND.
