MAX16031ETM+T is a qualified operational power supervisor from Maxim Integrated, featuring on-chip voltage detection and reset output capabilities. This device provides system supervisors functionality in a wide logic supply voltage range from 1.65V to 5.5V and is suited for a wide range of reset timing characteristics from 10μs to 5s. This IC does not require any external components for most applications. This IC functions as a general supervisor for protecting against abnormal power, brownouts at power-up, system protections due to overloads, under/over voltages, and over temperatures.The MAX16031ETM+T is based on Nano-Power® technology and is substantially immune to noise and supply voltage variations. This device provides a guaranteed reset accuracy of ±1%. The reset output is open drain, with reset assertion on power down, reset pull up is enabled by applying a logic high on the RESET pin. The MAX16031ETM+T provides a programmable power-on reset delay time and offers a five selectable reset time options. The ideal application field for this IC is battery-backed powered system, as it provides an accurate and robust way to reset the system when power-on or power-down conditions present.It is capable of monitoring both VCC and Ultralow Voltage (ULV) inputs, with programmable Hydrolock duration and a programmable multiplier for optimal ULV detection. This IC provides high integration and allows for configurable under-voltage lockout (UVLO) for both VCC and ULV, with adjustable MONITOR Rising Edge Leakage Current (IEL) and adjustable Release Voltage (VR) for both inputs.The reset from VCC OUT input is important in guaranteeing system stability after power-up or power-down situations. This device allows for adjustable reset delay time, starting from 10μs up to 5s (programmable), after VCC reaches threshold level. Reset is released once VCC drops below its hysteretic voltage. It provides an adjustable hysteresis feature, to enable its functions in noisy conditions with various power supply voltage levels.The MAX16031ETM+T is an integrated circuit with state-of-the-art power circuitry, which provide improved robustness, accuracy and system reliability. Using this device, the designers will be able to reduce design complexity and improve system-level performance, as well as simplify the power system layout.
