The MAX17602AUA+ is a power management integrated circuit (PMIC) specifically designed for productivity applications such as those found in gate drivers. This device solves the problem of driving and controlling gate-level switching devices such as transistors, FETs and SCRs. It works in conjunction with existing gate driver circuits to achieve high level design performance and re3derences. This PMIC can be found in various industries such as automotive, communication, consumer electronics and many more.

The MAX17602AUA+ PMIC contains a variety of features to improve overall performance. It provides integrated control for both DC and AC gate voltage for popular gate driver topologies. This includes the Drain-Emitter Voltage (DE) Series Gate Driver, Open Drain Gate Driver, and AC Driving Gate Driver. It also features an active snubber circuit to reduce switching losses in the power transistors and provide a low-noise and low-emission power solution. The MAX17602AUA+ is also capable of providing high voltage isolation up to 600V, great thermal stability, and highest possible efficiency due to minimal device power consumption.

The MAX17602AUA+ PMIC operates on a Voltage Control Mode (VCM) technology. VCM is an advanced non-resonant, single-stage technology used for efficiently driving and controlling gate switching devices. VCM eliminates resonant ringing, eliminates voltage overshoot, reduces power dissipation and provides static protection for switches. This PMIC design combines high speed, superior dynamic performance and reliable over-current protection.

The MAX17602AUA+ is also capable of supporting up to 6 gates with various normal and low side drive configurations. The device comes with two output and two enable inputs. This PMIC design allows for controlling multiple DC or AC gates from one device, and provides flexibility for multiple applications. The device also includes a dynamic Gate Driver Enable (GDE) function, which provides fast turn-on and turn-off speeds of the gates, thus improving the overall system performance.

This PMIC also features over-current protection, which prevents possible damage to switching devices and gate drivers in the event of a sudden surge in current. The MAX17602AUA+ operates in a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C and can be used in automotive and harsh environment applications.
