MAX2852ITK+ RF Receivers are designed to provide continuous, reliable and up-to-date connections to radio-frequency devices and networks. Whether used for civic, public safety, radio broadcast, or other services that require fast and reliable transmission and reception of digital data, the MAX2852 family of receivers is the ideal choice.
The MAX2852ITK+ RF Receiver module offers exceptionally low power consumption of 1.0mA while it is still capable of handling a 50dBm signal and a 3kHz signal bandwidth. It also offers two-channel simultaneous receive capabilities and a wide operating temperature range from 0 to 70°C. Additionally, the device has an integrated active differential input stage for improved gain linearity even at the lowest power consumption level.
The MAX2852ITK+ RF Receiver module is designed to be used in broadband applications, base station applications, point-to-point applications, or any other application that requires fast and reliable transmission and reception of digital data. It is a highly integrated receiver consisting of a low-noise amplifier, an automatic gain control (AGC) amplifier, a limiter amplifier, a demodulator, a serial data recovery circuit, and a data synchronization circuit.
The input signal to the receiver module is first amplified by a low-noise amplifier and then applied to an AGC amplifier, which is designed to maintain the linearity of the signal at low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). The amplified signal is then applied to a limiter amplifier for further amplification and envelope detection. The detected envelope is then demodulated to recover the digital data stream. The received data stream is then synchronized and aligned to the incoming clock signal for data recovery.
The performance of the MAX2852ITK+ RF Receivers is ensured with built-in self-test functions for diagnosing and solving any short-term faults or long-term degradation. It also includes a built-in on-chip temperature sensor, and a programmable Digital Frequency Locked Loop (DFL-FLL) that allows the receiver to maintain lock even in the presence of external noise disturbances.
