The MAX3051EKA+T transceiver is built on an innovative isolated drive technology which eliminates the need for optocouplers and associated components. The MAX3051EKA+T utilizes an electrode-less isolated drive technology which eliminates the need for metallic, optically isolated connections for signal transmission. This technology allows for high-speed isolation up to 500 KHz. The MAX3051EKA+T transceiver is a high-performance, single-chip, mixed-signal device that includes a low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) driver, receiver, and an on-chip isolator. It is designed to continuously transmit, receive and repeat digital data signals in an isolated environment. The transceiver operates between a +3.3V to +3.6V supply voltage, and operates at speeds up to 25MHz.The MAX3051EKA+T transceiver has two LVDS drivers that use low-voltage differential signals to send data between two systems. It offers isolation up to 5000Vrms and common mode voltage up to 5.5V. The driver has a peak data rate of up to 500 KHz and a maximum output current of 24mA. The receivers include three differential inputs and two single-ended inputs, providing a maximum data rate of 25MHz. The transceiver can also be operated in a 3-stage cascaded mode, whereby 3 transceivers are connected in series to extend the speed up to 75MHz. The device is also protected by ESD protection up to 8kV.Applications
