MAX3073EESD+ is a full-featured universal serial bus (USB)-compliant, bidirectional data interface driver, receiver, and transceiver. This highly versatile device is capable of supporting various standards such as universal serial bus (USB) 2.0 high-speed and full-speed, universal serial bus (USB) on-the-go, and universal serial bus (USB) 3.0. The MAX3073EESD+ is fully compliant with USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 electrical specifications. In addition, the MAX3073EESD+ includes several features for enhanced protection and robust system performance, such as ESD protection (8 kV), thermal protection, and surge protection.The MAX3073EISD+ is an advanced integrated Universal Serial Bus (USB) device designed to provide a bidirectional data interface between a PC and an external device. It supports high-speed, full-speed, low-speed, and On-The-Go (OTG) data transfer rates. The MAX3073EISD+ supports the USB 2.0 specification and is compliant with the USB 3.0 specification, and is compliant with the USB-implemented On-The-Go (OTG) standard. The device features an embedded TPA (transmitter pre-emphasis amplifier) to reduce spectral emissions, as well as an on-chip ESD protection, in order to increase robustness of the device against ESD pulses.Moreover, the MAX3073EISD+ includes an auto-detect feature, which enables the device to automatically detect the speed of the USB connection and to appropriately switch to the desired speed. It also includes an auto-equalization feature, which makes it possible to automatically adjust the parameters to provide the best performance in different environments, in terms of equalization and pre-emphasis.The MAX3073EISD+ consists of two main functional blocks, the transmitter and the receiver. The transmitter provides the interface between the host PC and the external device. The transmitter supports up to five types of data transfer protocols, which are Single (1:1), Double Buffered (2:1), Reverse Double Buffered (1:2), Triple Buffered (3:1), and Reverse Triple Buffered (1:3). The transmitter also supports auto-negotiation and auto-handshake features, which enable the device to automatically detect and adjust the desired speed.The receiver provides the interface between the external device and the host PC. The receiver also supports up to 5 types of data transfer protocols. It supports auto-detect feature and auto-equalization to provide optimal performance in different environments.The MAX3073EISD+ also includes a USB transceiver, which acts as a bridge between the two components.
