The MAX3074EAPA+ incorporates the same basic circuitry structure as the MAX3074EAPA, but it also features an improved power management system and increased output current capability. This additional output current enables the MAX3074EAPA+ to provide higher drive capabilities and eliminate the complex heat sink structures usually associated with high-output interface-drivers, receivers, transceivers.

The maximum output current of the MAX3074EAPA+ is 150 mA per channel. This is approximately 10X greater than the typical maximum output current of the MAX3074EAPA. The MAX3074EAPA+ can also provide up to 1.5 A peak current, making it ideal for driving higher powered applications such as high-power LEDs and motors.

The MAX3074EAPA+ can also operate in multiple modes including three-state, two-state, and diode-clamp. The three-state drivingmode is used primarily for driving multiple outputs simultaneously, whereas in two-state mode, one output is driven while the other remains in a high-impedance state. The diode-clamp mode is used mainly to minitor the voltage at a pin in a single-ended system.
