The MAX3086ECSD+T is a high-performance, low-power RS-485/RS-422 transceiver, which provides a low-pin-count interface for two-channel point-to-point, half duplex applications. This transceiver operates from a 1V to 5.5V single supply making it suitable for applications with a wide range of operating voltages. Additionally, the MAX3086ECSD+T features 25kΩ differential impedance as well as common-mode range spanning -7V to 12V. This makes it a great choice for long-distance applications due to its higher signal integrity.

The MAX3086ECSD+T consists of two low-voltage differential transceivers and a protected, high-side, single-supply current limiting receiver driver. Each transceiver contains six outputs which include a 5V or 3V TTL/CMOS compatible logic compatible driver, a 3-state driver, and a protected-receiver input.
