This device is designed to be used in the Automotive Ethernet applications, PCB mounted Ethernet applications, and Baseband Video Stimulation applications. Application FieldThe MAX3094EEUE+ can be used for Automotive Ethernet applications such as in-vehicle networks, CC-Link IE, MOST, as well as embedded Ethernet applications such as Point-to-Point Ethernet, Power over Ethernet (PoE) applications, and Baseband Video Stimulation. The MAX3094EEUE+ is ideal for use in high-voltage, low-voltage, and industrial applications due to its advanced features. The device is also suitable for EMI/RFI-scope for the data-link layer and for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) related testing. In Automotive Ethernet applications, the MAX3094EEUE+ can be used to interface between different line levels. It implements a differential receiver and a differential transmitter, enabling nodes interfacing between line levels and bus architectures. It is also suitable for EMI/RFI-scope for the data-link layer and for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) related testing. In embedded Ethernet applications, the MAX3094EEUE+ provides point-to-point Ethernet and delivers power over Ethernet (PoE) connectivity. Its features can be used to maximize power efficiency while maintaining high levels of performance. It enables the transmission of video signals over long distances with low power consumption.Working Principle The MAX3094EEUE+ works through the process of level-shifting and level-translation. It consists of two integrated circuits: a differential receiver and a differential transmitter. The device is designed to be connected to two different voltage levels and its main purpose is to safely level-shift and level-translate signals between the two different voltage levels.The differential receiver provides level-shifting and level-translation between any two voltage levels. The device uses a feedback to increase accuracy and reduce noise. The output range of the differential receiver is 0-Vref2, depending on the input.
