Maxim Integrated’s MAX31850TATB+ (or MAX31850), a precision thermocouple-to-digital converter, is designed to provide an accurate linearized temperature measurement. It encompasses the use of an analog circuit and a single-accurate-measurement time-to-digital converter (TDC) to generate an accurate and reliable thermocouple signal.

The MAX31850TATB+ is based on Maxim Integrated’s modern thermocouple-to-digital converter technology, which is optimized for a wide range of temperature measurements. Many of Maxim Integrated’s precision digital temperature sensors are based on this technology. The MAX31850TATB+ combines a high accuracy analog circuit and a single-accurate-measurement TDC for maximum precision of temperature measurement.

Working Principle:

The MAX31850TATB+ measures the temperature by converting the signal from the thermocouple into digital form. The device includes a precision analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and temperature sensor.
