This device is ideally suited for use in portable and battery-powered DCE applications such as mobile phones, modems, and other data communication products where power and performance are at a premium. The MAX3222EIDWR integrates three drivers, three receivers, a low-dropout regulator (LDO), and power-on-reset circuit into a single 16-pin QSOP package.

The device also features under-voltage lock-out (UVLO) and a low-18 mV hysteresis. The device provides an output current of up to 200 mA, which allows a wide range of external loads and input voltage ranges, from 4V to 5.5V. The device is designed to provide extended power available to support large capacitive loads of a half dozen lines or more.

Working Principle of MAX3222EIDWR

The MAX3222EIDWR operates by isolating the supply of the device from the logic rails, allowing for a much lower voltage drop at the logic outputs, the deduction drive capability of the device, and resulting in extremely low supply current. The MAX3222EIDWR uses three circuits with separate supplies to operate the three drivers, three receivers and the LDO.
