The MAX3233EEWP includes a buffer amplifier with a wide common-mode input range, adjustable shut-down/hibernate mode with low power dissipation or disabled sleeping, translator logic to recognize asynchronous serial port voltages and single-ended/differential signaling.The MAX3233EEWP features an adjustable shut-down/hibernate mode that allows the device to be used in applications requiring periods of low power dissipation or disabled sleeping. It is designed to connect directly to an RS232 line without the need for external components, making it suitable for applications with space constraints. The MAX3232EEWP is an ultra-low-power transceiver, operating from a +3V supply voltage and supports asynchronous serial data transmission/reception. It includes two differential drivers and receivers, two differential transmitters, and two differential receivers for bidirectional data communication.
