MAX3237CAI+ is an Integrated Circuit (IC) designed to provide the interface between an asynchronous serial port and TTL/CMOS logic. It enables a single pair of data lines to support bidirectional communication for any type of device. The MAX3237CAI+ is a dual channel bus interface which supports data rates of up to 1 Mbps when operating from a single +3.3V supply voltage.
The application range of MAX3237CAI+ is extensive and includes embedded systems as well as system level communication. It is used in a variety of applications including industrial control, medical instrumentation, security systems, automotive navigation systems, cellular base station communication networks and home automation. It can be used for embedded communication between any two devices, such as microcontrollers, microprocessors, sensors, printers, and displays.
