The MAX3237ECDBR is an advanced level and IEEE-1284-compliant Universal Asynchronous Receiver Network (UART) and serial bus transceiver. The device provides a single-ended solution for transmitting and receiving data with a 16-pin SSOP package. The MAX3237ECDBR enhances the data transmission rate and power efficiency of the UART, while providing a low voltage operation, resistant to external noise and quick startup time.
The MAX3237ECDBR is a 10 Mbps device with a data rate of up to 24 Mbps that provides a high speed, reliable and low noise serial bus transceiver mode. The device supports both half-duplex and full-duplex mode, it is able to detect and integrate different kinds of UART format. The device provides a clean signal to the bus, allowing the data to be sent and received with a maximum data rate of 24 Mbps.
The MAX3237ECDBR is available in an ABS24 LQFP package and an SSOP 16 package. The ABS24 LQFP package is designed to meet the needs of high speed, noise immunity and space saving applications, while the SSOP 16 package provides advanced protection from power supply effects and external noise.
The MAX3237ECDBR is designed to provide an integrated solution for single-ended UART communications, with a data rate of up to 24 Mbps for fast data transfer. The device also provides an additional feature of differential bus utilization for higher data rate, longer distance, low power consumption and improved signal integrity. The differential bus is used to allow enhanced flexibility.

It also has four status indicators for the transmission of information to the UART device.
