MAX3241ECUI+ is an EIA-485-compliant differential bus transceiver suitable for RS485 systems. It operates from a single supply and provides differential line driver and receiver pairs with ±15kV ESD protection. The driver and receiver are designed to unconditionally maintain data transmission up to 116m (380ft) for data rates up to 1Mbaud. The MAX3241ECUI+ is pin-compatible with the popular MAX485 devices, and includes an active pull-up resistor on the ROUT pin (RS-485 terminating resistor) and a slew rate limited receiver suitable for noisy environments.

The MAX3241ECUI+ features a low power shutdown mode, in which it draws less than 15μA of supply current and maintains the 13-Ω load on the bus.
