MAX3243CDWR is an integrated circuit (IC) interface device specifically designed as a small, low-power, highly efficient, 3-V to 5.5-V bidirectional voltage-level translator for RS-232 applications. It is a high-speed transceiver combining the active devices of a separate transmit (TX) and receive (RX) Open Collector driver and receiver pair, with an integrated power supply translator circuit. The MAX3243CDWR is ideal for applications where multiple devices must communicate with different voltage level I/O standards, such as RS-232, or those which require signal level shifting between logic levels and the RS-232 level. It is available with the latest version T1+T2 technology which is designed to reduce power consumption by more than 50 % compared to traditional transceivers.
