Its features include low power dissipation, wide common-mode range, integrated charge pump, low oscillator frequency, and low standby current.The MAX3323EEUE+ contains two independent transceivers that each feature a driver port, a receiver port, and a charge-pump port. Each of the driver ports presents a low-power driver to the bus and is equipped with an adjustable slew-rate control circuit. The receiver ports each feature a high-impedance input for the maximum flexibility and are intended for connecting to external logic or to a microcontroller interface port.The MAX3323EEUE+ uses a charge-pump circuitry to provide the proper voltage levels for RS-232, 3.3V, or 5V operation. It is a two-phase self-oscillating charge-pump that requires an external capacitor for operation. This reduces the cost, size, and power dissipation of the circuit. The internal capacitor eliminates the need for external components and reduces the cost, size and power dissipation of the circuit.The MAX3323EEUE+ is designed to operate at very low power. It has a low standby current of 6µA, which reduces the system power requirements significantly when the serial interface is idle.
