The MAX3625ACUG+T is a versatile device capable of synthesizing any frequency from 1kHz to 34MHz with a very high level of frequency accuracy, up to a maximum frequency of 7.5MHz. It uses a Phase-Locked Loop (PLL) system to generate the reference frequency and manage the drift. It also offers a variety of power-saving features, including automatic power-down and power-saving functions, and a very low standby current.
The MAX3625ACUG+T is the ideal device for applications such as test and instrumentation equipment, medical and imaging equipment, embedded systems, and microwave communications. It is also a suitable replacement for conventional crystal oscillators and VCOs (Voltage Controlled Oscillators).
At its core, the MAX3625ACUG+T consists of an input reference oscillator, a delay block and a frequency synthesis control block. The frequency synthesis control block is responsible for selecting a reference frequency from the frequency input and converting it into an output clock frequency.
