The MAX3869ETJ+ PMIC – Laser Drivers is an integrated, high-efficiency controller IC designed to drive laser diodes in both pulsed and continuous wave (CW) operation modes. The device features a low-noise, wide linear gain range, and is capable of providing high optical power level over a wide range of temperatures.The MAX3869ETJ+ PMIC – Laser Drivers operates in two modes: pulsed operation and continuous-wave (CW) operation. In pulsed mode, the MAX3869ETJ+ operates at a fixed current and produces short laser pulses in response to an input signal allowing for a stable laser source. In CW operation, the device can supply continuous laser diode current and can be modulated using the amplitude of an input signal.The MAX3869ETJ+ PMIC – Laser Drivers utilizes a linearized current loop to provide extremely low noise performance and stable CW laser operation. The device provides high optical power levels and excellent beam pointing stability over a wide range of temperatures.The MAX3869ETJ+ PMIC – Laser Drivers offers fast startup times and low optical power ripple, and can be controlled by an external trigger signal. The device has three adjustable bias points associated with the current mode and a shunt resistor for temperature compensation of the bias voltage.The MAX3869ETJ+ PMIC – Laser Drivers supports a wide range of laser diode currents for an extensive range of applications, including optical pumping and laser range finding.The MAX3869ETJ+ PMIC – Laser Drivers is a fully integrated, high-efficiency controller IC designed for driving laser diodes in both pulsed and continuous wave (CW) operation.
