Power Management ICs (PMICs) provide power sequencing, sequencing and monitoring for integrated circuits, amplifiers and other active components. Supervisors are a special class of PMICs which provide system-level control, enabling and fault protection features by combining voltage monitoring and reset generation. The MAX704RESA+, from Maxim Integrated, is a multi-purpose PMIC supervisor which integrates a precision voltage monitor, a voltage output reset generator and configurable system level controls.
The MAX704RESA+ provides flexibility in a variety of applications as a result of its configurable system level, enabling and fault protection features. It can be used to reset system clocks, peripheral devices, logic, and digital cores. It can also provide system power-up and power-down sequencing, enable monitoring, and configurable system level fault protection.
The multi-functionality of the MAX704RESA+ can be used in a variety of applications, including computing, networking and storage.
