The MC10EP16DG is a low-power, high-speed, CMOS, differential line driver with configurable output control. It is designed to operate on a 5.0V supply and specify data output rates of up to 500 Mbps. The device includes two differential outputs, two independent 3-state control inputs and a low-power logic architecture. The MC10EP16DG has a power-on-reset circuit which guarantees the device will not activate without all power supplies being above the recorded minimum.
Application Field:
The MC10EP16DG features high data rate, low-power dissipation, and configurable output control, making it suitable for use in high-speed serial data (LVDS) and bus applications. This device is well suited for data communication, networking and high-speed backplane applications. Highly integrated, fully differential drivers are routinely used to support data rates up to 500 Mbps with 2.5 V logic and up to 800 Mbps with 3.3 V logic.Working Principle:
The MC10EP16DG outputs are compatible with Low Voltage Differential Signaling (LVDS) and point-to-point data transmission, as well as many high-speed backplane applications. When, the two full-swing, low power, differential outputs are enabled via the two independent, positive logic, 3-state control inputs, the outputs swing to a specified voltage magnitude swing. The outputs swing to a voltage magnitude of 1.2V with the input range from GND to VCC+ .The integrated power-on reset circuit ensures the device only activates when all power levels are above minimum. The differential outputs of the device are designed in such a way to reduce the sensitivity of the differential input to common-mode noise. The device also features high ESD protection on the package pins and features a low-power logic architecture to reduce power consumption.Conclusion:
