MC10H160MEL

The MC10H/100H160MEL Logic Parity Generator and Checker are monolithic enhanced types and are a variant of the previously popular MC100H/100H108/110 and 118 devices. They allow for parallel data in and out, as well as generate and check 10-bit parity in each direction of data flow.

The MC10H/100H160MEL enables the user to detect single-bit errors and ensure data reliability through parity checking. This device can verify data integrity with a single clock cycle while the two 8-bit multiplexed I/O ports ensure a minimum of logic difficulty. This device typically operates in two-way modes: it can be configured as a generator or a checker.

This device utilizes an advanced ECC technique to both detect and correct up to two independent errors and it also operates in the checking and generation modes at the same time. The MC10H/100H160MEL is capable of providing 16 instruction, including logic force, logic insertion and invert. In order to facilitate code design, this device also offers instruction stack up capability, making it easier for instructions to be stored in the registers.

This device features a five-state output to indicate the input status. And these outputs can be fed back to the device to perform the desired parity checks.
