MIC4420CM

The MIC4420CM is a Gate Driver IC from the family of PMIC (Power Management Integrated Circuit) – Gate Drivers. Gate Driver ICs are integrated circuits that take relatively low power digital signals and increase its voltage level and current to the range of voltage and current level required for driving the Gate of the power transistors. These high power transistors are used for power switching applications such as in inverters, UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supplies), motor control etc.

The MIC4420CM Gate Driver IC contains two independent half-bridges in a single package. It has two input logic pins (IN1, IN2) and two N-Channel MOSFET outputs (OUT1, OUT2). The input logic pins can be configured to either active-low or active-high polarity through a configuration pin EN. This can be achieved by synchronizing them with the internal clock and reset by setting the CM pin. When CM is taken low, the latest detected input is delayed in the next cycle. The output will remain at the same level if the input signal is constant.
