The MIC4420YM is a gate driver integrated circuit (IC) designed by microchip technology, which is mainly applied in power-conversion systems of switch mode power supply (SMPS) that requires high gate charge and fast gate switching. It can replace the discrete gate driver for many power supply systems such as server and notebook system voltage regulators, telecom systems, battery chargers and other SMPS applications. It basically consists of two symmetrical half-bridge driver channels, each channel providing a high voltage totem pole output with 74V rating level and a peak current capacity of 5A.
