PMIC - Voltage Regulators - Linear - MIC49500-1.2WR The MIC49500-1.2WR is an adjustable, low power, low dropout (LDO) voltage regulator. It is a fixed 1.2A output device that operates from an input voltage range of 4V to 17V. This regulator is ideal for low-voltage, low-power applications that require high performance.The MIC49500-1.2WR features onboard programmable current limiting which allows it to be safely used in applications where high output current demand is high. The current limit is factory set to 1.2A and can be adjusted in 1mA increments. The MIC49500-1.2WR also has an onboard byte selectable output voltage, adjustable from 1.0V to 5.5V in 10mV increments. The MIC49500-1.2WR can operate from either a single power supply or dual power supply configurations. In a single power supply configuration, the device operates with an input voltage range of 4V to 17V; while in a dual power supply configuration, the device operates with a VIN voltage of 4V and a VDD voltage of 8V to 17V.The MIC49500-1.2WR has an onboard error protection circuit which monitors and protects against the following conditions: output overvoltage, output overcurrent and input undervoltage. Additionally, the device has an output voltage monitoring pin that can be configured to drive an external logic circuit in the event of an output undervoltage, output overvoltage or output overcurrent condition.The main characteristics of the MIC49500-1.2WR are as follows. It has a true dropout voltage of 0.6V (typical), an output voltage range of 1.0V to 5.5V, an adjustable current limit of 1.2A (maximum), and a high ripple rejection of 65dB.
