Working Principle
The MMA1211KEGR2 is based on a piezoresistive silicon accelerometer. It works by converting the acceleration into an electrical signal dependent on the piezoresistive material’s resistance. It produces an output voltage proportional to the acceleration applied to the device through differential pressure data. The device also utilizes dynamic compensation to reduce temperature sensitivity and provide stability.
The accelerometer contains three on-board temperature sensors to measure the temperature of the sensing element and the surrounding environment. These sensors are used to dynamically correct the device’s temperature sensitivity. Additionally, the accelerometer’s digital output enables low-noise signal transmission and makes the device resistant to interference. The broadband self-test for all three axes further ensures accuracy and reliable data acquisition.
