The MNR04M0ABJ270 digital resistor network offers superior performance in a small package. It has been designed for high-performance digital and analog applications that need high precision and low power. The network integrates two resistors in one device, whose values can be individually adjusted via SPI or I2C interface.

The primary application field of the MNR04M0ABJ270 is in Data Conversion and Logic Interface applications, in both of them it’s used together with digital to analog converters for producing desired voltages. It’s also used for temperature measurement and monitoring, Analog-to-Digital and Digital-to-Analog signal conditioning, signal conditioning loops, amplified gain control, and other.

The MNR04M0ABJ270 is a four-resistor network where a single external resistance and two internal resistors act as bridge-connected resistors with adjustable resistance ratio from zero to unity. Its adjustable resistance ratio enables a wide range of resistor value combinations with very high accuracy. The ratio between the bridge circuit’s external and internal resistors is easily adjustable via a SPI or an I2C interface. This enables the user an easy way to adjust the series resistance ratio and the total bridge resistance independently of each other.

The working principle of MNR04M0ABJ270 is weighted average of resistance. The resistors of the bridge are connected in series and the same current flows through all of them. A weighted average of the individual resistances provides the net resistance of the bridge. So the resistance of the bridge can be adjusted by changing the values of any of the individual resistors, or by varying the ratio between two of them. This adjustable resistance ratio can be easily implemented by using MNR04M0ABJ270, since it contains a SPI or I2C interface.
