The MOC3063X is an isolated Triac driver optocoupler, consisting of a 6-pin DIP package. It is a high-performance AC output optocoupler, designed for input-side isolation of Control Signals from signals on the output side. The high isolation voltage of 5000 VRMS allows for excellent isolation between input/output without any extra attenuation. The MOC3063X has a built-in Zener diode to protect the optocoupler from potential overvoltage transients that can occur on the AC output side.

The MOC3063X uses a Phototriac to control an AC load. The Phototriac can work within the range of 10 to 90V (or 80 to 270V). The MOC3063X can be used in a variety of applications, including motor control, AC power control, lighting and illumination, and industrial automation. Additionally, it can also be used in applications such as phase control, dimming control, or switching control.

The working principle of the MOC3063X is quite simple. Its internal circuitry contains an LED that emits light when the input signal is turned on.
