The MOC3162SM is a member of the Optoisolators - Triac, SCR Output family. It is a high performance optically-coupled isolator with a 600 V triac output isolated from its input. It uses a GaAIAs infrared LED as its light emitting diode and a triple layer triac as the output switch. The MOC3162SM is capable of controlling AC loads up to 50mA with commutation up to 600 V.
