MPG06D-E3/53 is a single-phase compact and high-efficiency AC/DC rectifier developed by LINFANG Company. It has Six terminals: two common connected pins, each have one V~ and V+ pins, one I+ pin and one I- pin.

MPG06D-E3/53 provides excellent protection functions, over-voltage, over-current, and reverse polarity protection. It can also quickly detect any kind of power supply abnormality, with under-voltage monitor to ensure accurate detection of power supply abnormality. It also has EMC features to provide a higher level of system reliability in multiple environment.

MPG06D-E3/53 is mainly used in AC/DC power supply as well as security monitoring system, home appliance, fan control, etc. it is one of the most popular rectifiers used in machine industry.

Working Principle

The working process of MPG06D-E3/53 can be divided into three stages: rectangle wave rectification, AC/DC conversion, and output.

In the rectification stage, the primary AC inputs are rectified to DC by two-terminal rectifier. It eliminates the influence of noise, interference and harmonic from the primary voltage. The two-terminal rectifier also provides filtering effect for the rectified output.

The AC/DC conversion stage is accomplished by transformer. The primary winding of the transformer is connected to the two terminals of the rectifier. The secondary winding of the transformer is connected to the V+ and V- terminals. This stage transforms the rectified DC voltage to AC voltage.

The last stage is the output stage, which is done by switch mode power supply. It employs a switching converter to change the rectified AC voltage to DC voltage or current. This conversion process improves the efficiency of the power supply and reduce power loss.
