MPG06M-E3/100 is a single Quick rectifier diode with a surface-mount package, widely used in various power converters, lamps and LED lights, LED light drivers and household electrical appliances. This diode is ideal for use in applications that require a space-efficient package design and high junction temperature.MPG06M-E3/100 uses a N-type dopant material in its construction, which creates a PN-junction inside the device. This PN-junction acts like a one-way valve, allowing current to flow in one direction while blocking the flow in the opposite direction. This device can be used as a rectifier, allowing it to convert AC voltage into DC voltage.The diode’s package is comprised of three pins, each labeled with a different function. The pin labeled cathode is the negative terminal of the diode, and the pin labeled anode is the positive terminal. The third pin is labeled heater, and it is connected to a heating element to warm the junction of the two sides of the PN-junction. This helps to reduce the forward voltage drop of the diode, which is known as its reverse leakage current.The MPG06M-E3/100 can be used in applications such as high-voltage crowbar protection, over-voltage protection, power factor correction, high frequency switching, and lighting applications.
