1. Application Field

2. Working Principle

This pressure transducer adopts the capacitive principle for pressure sensing. This device sensing diaphragm is connected to a silicon strain gauge bridge constructed into a charge converter (capacitor). When there is pressure applied, the capacitance of the capacitive elements changes, effecting a change in voltage output corresponding to the magnitude of the pressure applied. The advantage of this design is that the output is linearly proportional to the applied pressure.

This pressure transducer provides a digital output signal which can be monitored with a microcontroller or similar measuring device. The device can be calibrated to accurately measure a range of pressures and their outputs are generally stable over long periods.
