Transient Voltage Suppression (TVS) diodes are a type of semiconductor diode intended for the protection of electronic devices against hazardous electrical transients. This component\'s simplified internal architecture makes it easier to be installed, and its quick response time prevents damage from over-voltage events. The diode has a low power dissipation, and its excellent clamp-voltage characteristics provide an effective over-voltage protection to its application without introducing additional noise.
The MSMLJ6.0CA is designed to operate at a max rated voltage of 6 volts and a max voltage of 6.5 volts. Its PN junction breakdown voltage is 1.6 volts, and its on-state resistance is less than 1 ohm.
