Working Principle of MXLLCE22A

The MXLLCE22A is based on the Zener diode clamp principle, which employs a voltage regulator to clamp the voltage to a safe level. When a high voltage surge beyond the rated clamping voltage is detected, the diode will start to conduct current and the excess voltage will be safely dissipated to ground. The device is designed to provide high-speed and high-reliability ESD, lightning surge, and EFT protection with very low capacitance.

The device offers a dynamic response to voltage transients and has a very fast reaction time. The device is designed to withstand repeated high-level ESD strikes and can protect against electromagnetic interference (EMI) up to 8GHz.
