It has an operating voltage range of 6V to 200V and a temperature range of -55℃ to +150℃. It has a low operating current of less than 10mA and a low quiescent power of less than 200mW, making it ideal for operations in low-power, high-efficiency and high-power applications. It also features a wide range of features and is fully compatible with both synchronous and linear operation styles. The NCP5425DBR2 features two independent power MOSFETs that can be configured to operate in either buck, boost, buck-boost, flyback or Totem-Pole converter topologies. The controller also features a four-pin, 1.2A-capable switch and two sense inputs, allowing for optimized system control over wide input and output voltage ranges. The wide voltage range of the switching controller enables the use of either non-isolated or isolated isolated flyback and isolated buck-boost topologies. In addition, the controller provides both over-voltage protection (OVP) and under-voltage protection (UVP) functions. The overvoltage protection can be set to start at any level between 5V and 400V, and the under-voltage protection can be set to start at any level between 0.5V and 250V. Both functions are programmable through the control interface pins or through the reset switch.The NCP5425DBR2 also features key integrated elements such as an adjustable soft-start circuitry, an adjustable minimum PWM frequency, a current limit circuitry and an adjustable frequency synchronization method. All of these features can be programmed through a dedicated serial port or through the control interface pins.
