The NCP5604BMTR2G is a current-mode, non-inverting, constant current LED driver from ON Semiconductor’s NCP5000 series. This LED driver can be used to operate two discrete LED strings in parallel with a maximum LED current of 5A and a switching frequency of 2.25MHz. It is available in a RoHS-compliant, lead free and halogen free, SOIC-8 package.The device is designed for low-voltage applications, providing an adjustable output voltage range from 0V to 15V. The NCP5604BMTR2G also offers an input voltage range of 4.5V to 40V and a superior minimum on resistance of 0.029Ω. It provides a differential input voltage of 0.2mV and a supply current of 2.2mA.The NCP5604BMTR2G is suitable for DC/DC and AC/DC applications, as well as backlighting and lighting applications such as digital signage, automotive and industrial lighting. It is also capable of driving up to 8 LEDs in series with a single device and a maximum current of 60mA.

Working Principle
