Working Principle

The working principle of NCV8501D50 linear voltage regulator is based on the outputs of two voltage amplifiers operating in the feedback loop. The error amplifier then adjusts the gate voltage of the pass transistor to ensure the output voltage is kept stable. When the output voltage drops, the error amplifier increases the gate voltage to turn on the pass transistor to boost the output voltage.

NCV8501D50 has a SOT563-5 pin configuration. Pin1 is ground (GND), pin 2 is input (VIN), pin 3 is output (VOUT), pin 4 is feedback voltage (VFB) and pin 5 is enable (EN).
