NCV8505D2T50 is a low drop-out (LDO), three-terminal regulator designed for a broad range of applications. This LDO has ultra-low quiescent current and low drop-out voltage, making it ideal for battery powered systems. It can also serve as an adjustable voltage regulator in many consumer, industrial and automotive applications. This device features a wide input voltage range, high power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) and low noise performance. The NCV8505D2T50 is packaged in a 2mm x 2mm Flip-chip 8 or 10 lead WDFN package and is operable up to a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.

When the output voltage falls due to a decrease in load, the AC error amplifier senses the error voltage, amplifies it and then turns the NPN pass transistor off to increase the current flowing through the NPN pass transistor and thus maintain the output voltage constant.
