NCV8871SEPGEVB is the next generation of high performance standard evaluation boards for the development of DC/DC & AC/DC switched mode power supplies (SMPS). It is the perfect choice for household appliance and industrial applications which require robust and reliable power supplies.This evaluation board features a device specific development platform with full integration of the circuit design. It is easy to use and provides a wide range of features and functions to simplify the development process. The board is also capable of operating both in constant voltage (CV) and constant current (CC) modes and offers an integrated short-circuit protection.The NCV8871SEPGEVB evaluation board is based on the NXP Energy-Efficient Green Mode Controller NCV8871. It provides improved temperature operation and efficiency thanks to its integrated FET Over-Temperature Protection (OTP) and Low-Power Mode (LPM) features. Moreover, the board also integrates the NCP Voice Coil Motor (VCM) driver which enables easy assembly and effective control of the motor.The board uses a shielded toroidal inductor design for increased power efficiency and lower losses. The entire power train can be operated at a maximum switching frequency of 450kHz while the operating temperature range is -40 to +85°C. The total output power is adjustable from 5 to 30W and the board delivers a maximum efficiency of up to 93%. Additionally, the board features an integrated output switch mode rectifier with a maximum output voltage of 54V and a maximum current of 3A.The evaluation board can be configured using the graphical user interface (GUI). The GUI provides various features such as input voltage range selection, software control of the output voltage, output enable/disable functions, and diagnostic information. This allows for easy debugging and optimization of the design. In addition, the board is provided with an integrated isolated DC/DC converter which helps reduce EMI noise.The evaluation board is designed for use with supply voltages of up to 60V and output power levels up to 30W. The board can also be used for motor control applications and other power supplies requiring high-quality products. The evaluation board features an over-temperature protection (OTP) circuit which helps to protect the device from thermal runaway conditions.Overall, the NCV8871SEPGEVB evaluation board is ideal for a wide range of projects requiring robust and reliable power supplies.
