P1803ABL60 is a GL family unidirectional professional thyristor produced by Henan Mining-Kaili Electric Technology Co., Ltd. It is mainly used in surge protection, high current reverse protection and voltage unidirectional rectification.

The device features an avalanche energy hardened, current controlled, low capacitance structure and guaranteed ability for 8/20 μs peak pulse current up to 12A and 10/1000 μs high pulse current up to 18A. P1803ABL60 unidirectional thyristor has low leakage current and superior lighting protection function. It is designed for overvoltage protection applications in the power supply of communication systems, wireless systems, industrial systems, etc.

In order to ensure the reliable operation of the circuit protected by P1803ABL60, an anti-interference design is adopted to attenuate the influence of external interferences on the thyristor. The working principle is, when an overvoltage occurs in the input of a circuit, the thyristor will be in a high-voltage state, and then the current from the external source can flow from the gate to the anode pin, then to the cathode pin, and finally the thyristor will be turn on. When the circuit is protected, the thyristor will be turn off, and will cut off the connection of external power supply and the protected circuit.
