The Freescale P4080DS-PC processor evaluation board is a feature-rich embedded system designed to minimize development time and cost by providing access to an advanced skillset. It has been designed to help verify and optimize system performance with all the integrated peripherals – including SATA, multiple USB ports, Gigabit Ethernet, and display connection interfaces. Additionally, the processor evaluation board allows the user to measure performance against the MCU, DSP, and processor instruction sets.

The P4080DS-PC evaluation board provides access to two PowerQUICC III cores – the P4080 and P5020 – each containing two integrated DDR3 memory controllers. Additionally, the board includes front and rear panel I/O, giving users access to serial packets, PCI Express based components, local and network storage, video input and video processing.
