The PI6C49X0208ZHIE offers an innovative frequency-dependent buffer IC solution, featuring a very low-latency return path and jitter attenuation. It offers a high performance, low latency clock distribution solution for high-end enterprise computing, storage and networking applications. The PI6C49X0208ZHIE has been designed to provide a low-latency return path from each output to the input, proactively attenuating jitter based on each output\'s frequency. Additionally, it features a proprietary system with a wide bandwidth of switchable bandwidths for better frequency control, allowing for an increased level of precision and stability in the distributed signals in a data center or enterprise environment.The PI6C49X0208ZHIE is a clock buffer capable of producing high-speed clock signals with very low jitter. It utilizes a high-speed multiplexer, together with dedicated logic to permute the selection of clock outputs. The output frequencies are adjusted by a frequency selection block that is dynamically controlled. This feature gives the PI6C49X0208ZHIE a low-latency return path, which effectively reduces the jitter that is added to the output signals.The clock distribution of the PI6C49X0208ZHIE is driven by a high speed clock synthesizer. The clock synthesizer is configured by a serial register to create frequencies from hundreds of MHz up to tens of gigahertz. The clock synthesizer has a wide range of selectable clock frequencies, which can be set up in advance or adjusted in real-time.The PI6C49X0208ZHIE is then outputted from the clock generator in two different output formats: LV CMOS and open collector. The LV CMOS format can be used for low-voltage, high-current or low-current applications, whereas the open collector format can be used for high-voltage and/or high-current applications.The clock buffer of the PI6C49X0208ZHIE allows multiple frequencies to be generated with minimal jitter on the output side. By using this technology, the PI6C49X0208ZHIE can output precise clock frequencies with virtually zero jitter. This makes it an ideal choice for applications such as time-of-day clocks, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections, network switches and routers, and other devices that need precise and reliable clocks. In addition to its low-latency return path and jitter attenuation, the PI6C49X0208ZHIE also comes with a variety of features such as a duty cycle accuracy to within 0.5%, programmable skew and a wide frequency range of up to 20GHz.
