Introduction

Q8006NH4RP Working Principle

The working principle of the Q8006NH4RP is based on the principle of three current carrying electrodes sandwiched in a semiconductor body. The positive and negative cycles are controlled by an external Gate signal.When the Gate signal is applied to the Thyristor’s Gate Terminal, the current begins to flow in both directions alternatively. This is called Alternating Current (AC). The current passing through the Thyristor’s Anode and Cathode terminals can be controlled by varying the applied Gate signal. This alternating current passing through the Thyristor can be used to control the power consumption of various electrical equipment or devices. For example, a motor speeders uses the Q8006NH4RP to turn the motor on and off depending on the amount of current passing through the Thyristor.The current passing through the Thyristor can be changed by changing the applied Gate signal, which can be used for AC power control systems. For example, it can be used for energy saving applications by controlling the flow of current to various electrical equipments and saving energy in the process.
