PMIC - Voltage Regulators - DC DC Switching Controllers.The RT8805GQV is a step-down (buck) DC-DC converter controller integrated to a 5-channel high and low-side MOSFETs driver. It contains a single-stage DC-DC converter controller, a voltage feedback and the output voltage range is adjustable down to 0.8V, ideal for high current applications. This controller is designed for a better solution to reduce number of external components to save the space, power and cost on power supply design.The RT8805GQV supports high efficiency at low operation frequency, allowing to reduce heat generated by the power solution. The low operation frequency could also reduce the required Inrush current and EMI issue.The RT8805GQV is a cost-efficient and space-saving power supply component used in many different fields, from providing power for processor cores, memory and system logic on computers, to powering up various loads for applications in automotive, audio, TV and other consumer electronics.Application FieldsThe RT8805GQV is widely used for highly integrated desktop, notebook and other personal computing application systems. It is capable of establishing a fixed frequency step-down (buck) voltage conversion, using a pair of NMOS transistors (the high and low side) to alternately connect the input voltage source to the output to form a converter circuit.The RT8805GQV controls its MOSFETs to perform pulse width modulation (PWM), a method used to control the output voltage of the converter circuit.
