Working Principle of SA22CAHE3/73
The working principle of the SA22CAHE3/73 involves rectification of high-frequency AC pulses. The diode acts as a bridge between the energy source and the circuit in which it is connected, and the current flows through the diode when a sufficient positive voltage is applied to the anode with respect to the cathode. When the current flows through the diode, the voltage across its terminals decreases. This decrease in voltage helps protect the circuit from the harmful transients.When the pulse is too large for the diode to handle, it will conduct the pulse current until it breaks down and the voltage across it increases. This increase in voltage will cause the diode to break down. Once the voltage is clamped at a certain level the diode will then act as a short circuit until the current passes.Conclusion
