Clock/Timing - Application Specific: SI5017-D-GM
The SI5017-D-GM is a low-profile 8-Pin programmable clock synthesizer with a wide range of output frequency combinations that is ideal for frequency synthesis in consumer electronics and industrial applications that require precise timing. It is an advanced clock generator which features a low jitter sigma-delta PLL, providing high performance in both frequency and jitter generation. The clock synthesizer also provides very small frequency deviations, as well as low switching noise and excellent EMI performance. Components
The SI5017-D-GM clock synthesizer consists of three main components: the oscillator (oscillator), PLL and Output Modulation Logic (OML). The oscillator sets the chip\'s default frequency. PLL
The PLL is essentially a phase locked loop which is locked onto the input signal of the clock.
