The SI5023-D-GM clock/timing module is a highly integrated clock and timing solution designed for single board designs in embedded systems and applications. It is a multi-functional product that can be used for many clock and timing applications, including power and audio synchronization, in-system debugging, and frequency measurement and control.
The SI5023-D-GM is a complete system-level solution, combining clock synthesizers, programmable reference and start count timers, PLLs, control logic and isolation/protection circuitry into a single clock/timing module.
The SI5023-D-GM is ideal for applications requiring very tight synchronization (±1ns accuracy), efficient power management and minimal board size. It provides an extensive list of features including multiple output clock synthesis, low jitter and wide frequency range, programmable reference and start count timer and multiple PLL channels with selectable loop bandwidth.
The SI5023-D-GM is designed to meet the requirements of many time-sensitive applications, such as audio/video synchronization, in-system debugging, frequency measurement and control. The module’s flexibility and range of features make it the ideal solution for applications requiring tight synchronization, efficient power management and minimal board size.
The SI5023-D-GM uses an integrated architecture that includes both an on-chip reference and programmable start count timer. The reference and start count timer are programmable, allowing flexibility in the application of the clock/timing module. The module also includes a wide range of clock outputs covering a variety of systems, such as MCUs, digital signal processors (DSPs), FPGAs, and ASICs. The wide range of clock output frequencies and configurations allow the SI5023-D-GM to be used in a variety of applications.
The SI5023-D-GM also includes an array of PLL circuitry that supports multiple PLL channels, allowing the user to configure a very specific PLL solution for their application. The modules also feature many programmable configurations, such as output frequency and loop bandwidth. This allows the user to tailor the PLL solution to their specific application.
